Tips: 5 Things You’re Most Likely to Forget on Your Wedding Day

With all of the chaos on your wedding day, these are the top 5 things that bride’s often forget (but are still very important!!)

1. Lunch for the Bridal Party

Are you having your girls over at your house or suite to get all primped and ready for the big day?  Make sure you have more than just “nibbles”  for your bridal party too!  You might be nervous and cannot eat a full sandwich the day of the wedding, but your friends might be getting those hunger cravings during your ceremony if you don’t feed them before!

2.  Payment for Beauty Appointments

You might be getting your hair and make up done together that morning, but what about nails, eyebrows or any other appointments to make sure your girls are feeling their best with you on your big day?  It is not expected for the bride to pay for hair and make up appointments, but it would be a nice suggestion to pay it in full for your party, as a thank you for putting you at ease throughout the whole wedding process!  If you would like everyone to have their nails done, set up an appointment at a nearby salon and have everything already paid for!

3. A Post-Ceremony Break with your New Husband

After the ceremony, you might have a receiving line, pictures, and cocktail hour.  Right after cocktail hour, your reception starts and before you know it, your evening is over and done with!  Make sure you make time with your new husband for a 5-10 minute break before those grand introductions!  Those are the moments where you refresh, regroup and really get the chance to be together and realize..”Oh my god, we just got married”!

4.  A “Game Plan” to Wedding Toasts

We have all been there at weddings where “toasts” turned into long, drawn out speeches.  Make sure your MC or wedding planner knows who is talking and the line up of speakers if you  have multiple speakers.  Also, let your speakers know that you love the thought that go into speeches but do not tell a whole life story on the mic!  This will cut down time between food courses, and more time to dance the night away with your friends and family!

5.  Alone Time

It’s understandable that most of us would want to be surrounded by our bridal party by the time we wake up in the morning, and be surrounded by friends until we leave for the end of the night, since it is a stressful day but one of the most important days of your life.   It is important to take some alone time during this day, to reflect and to gather yourself before the ceremony in solitude.  Before you leave your house or suite for the ceremony,  take five minutes to yourself and relax.  If you are not able to escape the photographer, your bridal party or parents, find somewhere before the madness starts the morning of the wedding,  and escape there for just a few minutes.  You will feel 110% better that you did!
