Albany Bridal Wars – August 16th!

A little competition never hurt nobody.

Most brides experience some form of stress when it comes to planning their wedding day and Stacy Jubert has found a way for these brides (and their friends) to eliminate the stress and have a blast while doing so: Bridal Wars.

Bridal Wars is a team-based competition event where the bride and her two friends (or her mom!) form a team of three where they get to show off their best Pinterest creativity by coming up with a team name, and even designing their own team uniforms. The more creative, the better, as that is a competition in itself because prizes are given out to the teams that have the Best Team Name and Best Team Attire. Throughout the event bonus prizes will be given; however, one of the grand prizes is an Overnight Getaway at the Glen Sanders Mansion (Talk about a motivation maker).

The Bridal Wars concept is the same every year, but the challenges the bride and her teammates participate in change. The events are mix of physicality and stationary, but no matter what you’ll be having a blast with your friends while doing it. Bridal Wars is sponsored by various vendors in the area and these vendors are the ones that come up with the events and they like to incorporate the service they offer, but make it into a fun, clever challenge.

A personal favorite of Stacy’s was when Best Cleaners wanted to promote their wedding dress cleaning service. They decided to have brides throwing cupcakes at old wedding dresses like they were darts aiming for a dartboard and if a cupcake hit a certain part of the dress, the team got a certain amount of points.

Due to Bridal Wars’ success in the Capital Region for the past eight years, Stacy is taking the event on the road along the East Coast and then making its way onto the rest of the country, once a month, during 2015-2016. Stacy will be having a special guest joining her not only on the road, but on the first stop on this year’s upcoming Bridal Wars event: Randy Fenoli from Say Yes to the Dress!!! Randy will help with the hosting duties and interviewing the teams as they participate in the challenges.

Albany Bridal Wars event will take place on August 16th at Afrim’s Sports in Colonie and there’s still time to sign up and get in on all the fun! To sign up for any Bridal Wars event or to find out more information about the event in general go to bridalwarsevent.com
