VOW Magazine Real Wedding: Caitlin & Sean

Newlyweds Caitlin and Sean celebrated into the night at 90 State as downtown Albany transformed into a magical winter wonderland. You can find their Real Wedding in the 2021 issue of VOW Magazine, out now! We recently caught up with the couple to hear about their wedding day…

Why did you select 90 State as your wedding venue?

I selected 90 State because the venue was beautiful and historical. I thought the columns were spectacularly regal. I wanted to feel like a princess and 90 State certainly made me feel that way.

How did you make your day unique / special / personal?

We made the day unique and personal in a few ways:

1. We chose a winter wedding which is not really a common time of year to be married.
2. We did our wedding photos in the snow.
3. We had an alternative rock cover band for the entertainment.
4. All the food and decorations were things that Sean and I chose, so the little details really personalized the experience. The flower arrangements, the table centerpieces, etc.

What was your most memorable moment?

My most memorable moment was my first dance with my husband. We were surrounded by our family and friends while the band played a custom cover of “Times Like These” by the Foo Fighters.

What was your favorite food or beverage item of the night?

My favorite food item was the stuffed shrimp. It was magnificent!

What was your favorite part about working with the Mazzone Team?

My favorite part about working with the Mazzone Team was just everything. They really tailored every meeting and tiniest details to our desire. I know it’s a business and they do this every day, but the experience felt very personalized and special.

What tip would you give other couples?

Don’t let a little snow or the cold weather stop you from a winter wedding! It was glorious and magnificent. I would do it again in a heartbeat.
