VOW Magazine Real Wedding: Shannon & Craig
Photography by Kevin DeMassio Photography
Shannon and Craig were the first-ever wedding at Loft 433 and made it one to remember. The weather may have been chilly, but the love these two have for each other kept everyone warm… the fire pits and custom blanket favors didn’t hurt either!
You can find their Real Wedding in the 2021 issue of VOW Magazine or by visiting https://storystudio.timesunion.com/vow-2021/.
We recently caught up with the couple to hear about their wedding day….
Why did you select Loft 433 as your venue?
We knew we were looking for a location in Troy since we both grew up there and love the city. We had been looking around and when we heard Mazzone was opening a new venue, we knew we had to check it out. We loved the industrial vibe with amazing views of the city. We also knew that the food would be outstanding and that was very important to us. Craig and I fell in love with the idea of being the first couple to be married at Loft 433.
How did you make your day unique / special / personal?
We created snow globe table numbers and place card holders out of birch branches from trees near our house. We also did customized blankets as our favors. We were hoping for a snowy January night and we definitely got just that.
What was your most memorable moment?
Packing the dance floor all night and celebrating with our friends and family.
What was your favorite food or beverage item? Or How did you customize your wedding?
All of the food was amazing and our guests raved about it for weeks afterwards. The late-night cheese steak station was a major hit. Our favorite drink was our signature drink we named “The John Galligan” after Craig’s dad and it was a Sea Breeze with a little twist. Mazzone did an amazing job at setting up the drink station and making it really memorable.
What was your favorite part about working with the Mazzone Team?
We booked our wedding when the entire space was completely under construction, knowing we would be the first wedding. When we told them at the end of October that we wanted to get married in January, they were excited to take on the challenge, knowing we would be making quick decisions and the space was only scheduled to be completed the week before. They made us feel confident that everything would be ready for our big day. They answered all of our questions promptly and accommodated all of our requests. We worked with their decor team to design our tables, candles and centerpieces, since we didn’t want traditional flowers. Everyone was extremely professional, creative, and beyond helpful. We felt completely confident that they would make the day unforgettable.
What tip would you give other couples?
Relax and enjoy your day! All of your planning will be executed by a top-notch team!
