Hot Trends: Top 5 Fall Trends of 2014

Planning a Fall 2014 or 2015 wedding?  Here are the top 5 trends that you are sure to see while viewing photography blogs, or attending a wedding yourself during this time of year!

Jewel Tone Bridesmaid Dresses

To go along with the colors of the season, bridal parties are going to wear bolder colors to compliment their lighter, brighter color palate of their bouquets.  You will most likely see navy, reds, greens, sapphire blue and deep grays.

Bold Red Lip

Time to break out the red lipstick ladies!  Red is the color of autumn, so throw away those nude lip tones!  Make a statement with a bright red lip that is bound to pop in your wedding photos!  It also gives you a classic, beautiful look.

Bridal Gowns with Sleeves

We are not talking about total Grace Kelly style (even though that is sophisticated and classic), but we are discussing a little bit more cover during those chilly months.  Maybe a lace back with short sleeves, or quarter sleeves would be just enough.  It’s a delicate and feminine look that we love to see during this time of year, and is sure to be popular this season!

Pumpkins

My fellow blogger, Marisa Spano, posted a fabulous fall themed wedding inspiration blog last week.  She discussed all the popular fall decor using the colors of the season, and using harvest inspired centerpieces and bouquets.  One harvest item that’s popular is the pumpkin.  It’s so popular, that Dunkin Donuts even started their pumpkin flavored coffee early this season (for all you coffee fans out there 🙂 )!

There will be either a course with pumpkin spice,  pumpkins on Hor d’Oeuvres stations, pumpkin centerpieces, pumpkin flavored beer, or even a pumpkin flavored cocktail!  ‘Tis the season of pumpkins!

Pashminas

Cooler days mean even cooler nights. In that case, break out some pashminas for your guests, either as favors or have them work with your decor!  Choose autumn tones that may work with your centerpieces on the table,  or featured in baskets as guests leave the reception.  Wedding guests this year will never leave a reception cold,  hospitality will be at it’s peak with this upcoming season!
